The buyer of your property will usually charge market rent for your area. However, this is sometimes flexible depending on the situation. Sometimes people want to pay slightly more rent and release more cash from their home. As Rent Back Scotland is not the provider and will not be setting the rent, it is difficult to be specific at this stage. Full written details are provided to you before you commit to entering into a sale and rent back agreement.
However, every case is looked at individually, but, broadly speaking, the customer will not be charged a higher than market rent and the rent increases will be clearly set out and will be reasonable during the course of the sale and rent back agreement.
